Premier hunting, unrivaled experience.

The TTT Ranch

Picture
The Lewis and Clark Expedition spent more time in North Dakota than any other state. The explorers were enchanted by this area. Lewis wrote in his journal on May 5, 1805, “The country is as yesterday, beautiful in the extreme.” They saw more game enroute from their winter camp at Fort Mandan to where the Yellowstone enters the Missouri River than anywhere else on their journey.

This area is still prime and pristine, truly a Hunters’ Paradise. The scenic vistas are unchanged from those that lured explorers and ranchers more than a century ago.

The TTT Ranch headquarters is nestled in the Little Knife River Valley. Its waterway meanders through the broad valley with spacious coulees (ravines) fanning out on either side. The valley provides abundant natural habitat for Pheasants, other game birds and Whitetail deer. The area is the Outback of America, a paradise not only for those who live here, but also for those who sojourn this way.

The TTT is a working cattle ranch, where raising fancy bred heifers is the main enterprise. Also, durum wheat (used to make spaghetti) is raised on the fertile cultivated areas. Fred was awarded the “Rangeman of the Year” in recognition of his outstanding range management practices, which have enhanced the natural habitat for wild game.

Each hunt is custom-tailored to your parties’ request. Your dedicated guide, along with top-notch gun dogs, is devoted exclusively to your success and enjoyment. Should you want to bring your own well-trained dogs, we will provide kennel facilities. In between hunts, your party may want to take an afternoon, or even a day, to fish on Lake Sakakawea, or golf at the Red Mike Resort, one of America’s great authentic links located on the shores of beautiful Lake Sakakawea.

Lake Sakakawea, named after the young Shoshone woman who accompanied Lewis and Clark as their guide and interpreter, is only a few minutes from the ranch. This big lake, with its 1,530 miles of shoreline, is famous for world-class Walleye fishing. Experienced guides are provided.
